New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the two-day RE mentor academy to receive mentor certification.( This two-day academy replaces the previous RE mentor trainings: (IM: and RE-1). Mentor Academy Day 1 is a pre-requisite for this second day of training. This training focus is Mentors as Decision Makers. Mentors apply the knowledge and skills learned in Day 1 to design, practice, and implement tailored mentoring support to accelerate Resident Educator growth.
