New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to complete a two-day mentor academy to receive mentor certification.( This two-day academy replaces the previous RE mentor trainings: IM, and RE-1). Resident Educator Mentor Academy Day 1 focuses on Mentors as Learners: the knowledge and skills mentors must know to be able to effectively mentor Resident Educators.
