Federal No Surprises Act/Transparency in Coverage (TIC) Rules - Machine-Readable Files (MRF) Requirement
Effective Juy 1, 2022, TIC regulations require group health plans to create machine-readable files that caontain negotiated rates for in-network providers and allowed amounts derived from historical claims for out-of-network providers and make those files publicly available. Employers should have either posted monthly MRFs to its website or alink on its website where MRFs may be accessed.
